About the Event
In spirituality, we strive to wake up and out of our imprisoned self, to know and fully rest as our deepest nature, which is Silence. In that process, as you probably have found, all that is false within collapses. Your familiar conditioning, thoughts, feelings, projections, even though they are still operating, have little or no grip on you anymore. We are left with No-Thing! Wondrous emptiness.
This process is challenging - it doesn’t always feel great to die the great death. Despite this, we persevere. It is our deepest heart-wish to live as truth.
So let’s say we are having moments, perhaps many moments, where we are able to live as your natural Self, resting as peace. What happens to that inner peace when the ground falls away?
Perhaps it’s something relatively small like someone letting you know how unlikable they find you.
Perhaps it’s more challenging and you experience personal loss or tragedy.
But what if it’s even greater than that and ALL that is familiar falls away. Life as you know it changes drastically - no cash, no computer, no food, school or education, no comfort or connection.
These are very challenging times and in any of the above situations, we will all be deeply affected in our humanity. Fear, anger, pain and suffering will be felt but when we are pushed to the edge, we also experience profound inspiration, compassion, and make surprising new connections.
But in the midst of all these human emotions, can you feel inner peace? How free are you? What does living as an awake being mean to you then? Will you still know and trust that all is well and all is taken care of? What will you do? Will you be at peace and act as peace?
I hope you will join me in this great inner exploration that is well suited for these troubling times we live in.
Please come with me on this three half-day online retreat to unite with our true nature and anchor deeply into the eternal Mystery where we experience ourselves and our bodies as one life and one love in union with all of life.
During this three half-day retreat, there will be periods of guided meditation, silent meditation, Dharma talk, movement, conversation and short breaks. We will meet for 4 hours each day.
The cost to attend the full retreat is $107 and to attend a single day is $57.
